Abstract:This lecture is concerned with the design of robust H∞ controllers for uncertain networked control systems (NCSs) with the effects of both the network-induced delay and data dropout taken into consideration. A new analysis method for H∞ performance of NCSs is provided by introducing some slack matrix variables and employing the information of the lower bound of the network-induced delay. The designed H∞ controller is of memoryless type, which can be obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities. Numerical examples and simulation results are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the method. |
Resume: Professor Qing-Long Han, IEEE Fellow (Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers), FIEAust Fellow (Fellow of the Australian Society of Engineers), is currently the Vice-Chancellor of Swinburne University of Technology (Swinburne University of Technology) in Melbourne, Australia and outstanding professor. In March 1997, he obtained a doctorate degree in industrial automation from East China University of Science and Technology. Worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Université de Poitiers in France from September 1997 to December 1998, worked as a research assistant professor at Southern Illinois University in the United States from January 1999 to August 2001, and worked at Central Queensland, Australia from September 2001 to December 2014 University is a senior lecturer, associate professor, professor (lecture) and Professor Laurel. From March 2007 to December 2014, he served as the Deputy Minister of Higher Education (Research and Innovation) and Director of the Center for Intelligent and Networked Systems Science Research at Central Queensland University, Australia. From January 2015 to April 2016, he served as a professor (lecture) and deputy minister of science (research) at Griffith University in Australia. From May 2016 to present, he has served as Vice President and Distinguished Professor at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia. Published 312 papers in important international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, Automatica, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Transactions on Circuit Systems I: Regular Papers, among which IEEE Transactions and Automatica has 193 papers. It has been cited more than 20,000 times by international scholars in SCI, more than 17,710 times by other SCI, SCI h-index (h-index): 78, cited by more than 30 countries. He was selected as "Highly Cited Scientist" by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters) in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Received the 2019 and 2020 Australian Research Lifetime Achievers (Research Superstars) in the discipline area of Engineering and one of the five winners of the Engineering and Computer Awards (Australia's Top 5 Lifetime Achievers (Research Superstars) in the discipline area of Engineering and Computer Science in The Australian's Research Magazine). Won the 2020 IEEE System, Man and Cybernetics Society Andrew P. Sage Best Paper Award, 2020 IEEE Industrial Electronics Society IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics Outstanding Paper Award, 2019 IEEE System , Human and Cybernetics Society Andrew P. Sage Best Paper Award (Best Transactions Paper Award). Served as the Chairman of the Network Control System and Application Committee of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (2014-2017). Currently serving as an editorial board member of 12 journals including IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine, IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica, Control Engineering Practice, Information Sciences and International Journal of Automation and Computing .
