Summary: We will consider a multi-agent system of autonomous boats and discuss the problem of formation control. The goal is to design a fully distributed control system to achieve convergence of the boats to the same straight-line or circular path chosen by the leader boat independently from the followers. An approach based on adaptive control will be proposed where the followers adapt to the leader’s dynamics determined by the target path. Biography: Anton Ponomarev is Associate professor from St. Petersburg State University. He received his Ph.D. degree from St. Petersburg State University. His research interests are control of time-delay systems, multi-agent systems and process modeling and control and his teaching experience include control theory, model predictive control and theoretical mechanics. |
